Un-like most forums, we take marshaling very seriously. The way you marshal will determine the legitimacy of the match. Everything must be perfect. Written confirmation from a Loreil Official stating that you are a certified marshal (proctor), will be accepted. All marshals will receive a special identification number that will certify them to marshal matches so that they will be valid. Please look over the following to get an idea of the things you will need to know in order to become a marshal.
Standard Rules:
- You must know how to log.
- You must have an registration number for marshaling.
- If marshaling a AA or MAA, you must make sure that contracts are valid.
Logging:
Here are the rules of logging. Log all matches and keep them for evidence. Don't expect everyone to log something for you. Start your log as soon as you engage in an argument or start negotiations for terms, alliances, etc. You need to have proof. If you have no proof, then you won't have any evidence to back you up on your words. We would not be able to help you whatsoever. If anyone is found doctoring a log or writing up fake logs you will be immediately exiled from the forum. Take your newbie crap elsewhere, because we're not going to tolerate it. If you do not know how to log, please feel free to e-mail any of the Government Officials and if time permitted, they can either help or direct you to someone that can help you personally.
You must include the following in the log:
1. Open a log ][ Example: -- Log On -- ][
2. Proctored by ][ SN ][ and ][ Registration ID#: ][
3. Date & Time.
4. State combatants ][ SN ][ vs. ][ SN ][
5. Combatants state registration numbers, if relevant.

- At the end of the spar, state the following:
1. State the SN of the Victor.
2. Tally the points. ][ Example: Spar is worth 220xp ][
3. Close the log. ][ Example: -- Log Off -- ][
Once the spar, send a copy (cut and paste, no downloads) to each person directly involved (combatants, marshal, and/or witnesses) in the spar, along with a copy to the Chief Auditor for validation.
Point Spread:
Here's how you find the point spread. Take the final score of the match and subtract the lower score from the higher score and that will give you the point spread. If you can't understand that, then you need more teaching!
Experience Points:
Spars - certified marshals earn 100xp.
HMs, RMs, and SMs - certified marshals earn 300xp.
DMs - certified marshals earn 500xp.
Mass Spars - certified marshals earn 50x the number of participants to determine XP.
